Sora no Otoshimono: Forte

This second season of Sora no Otoshimono was just as good a watch if not better than the first season. Here is a synopsis from MAL.net:

“Sakurai Tomoki has settled into his life with the two angeloids, Ikaros and Nymph, and is enjoying himself immensely. However, he keeps having weird dreams and asks all of his friends to help him investigate the cause.

Nymph conjures up a device that enables people, but not angeloids, to enter other people’s dreams. The device malfunctions at first but eventually they get to what was supposed to be Tomoki’s dream but discover that something is very wrong with it.

Later, a meteor comes crashing down from the skies at the site of the large cherry blossom tree where Tomoki first discovered Ikaros. An extremely well endowed blonde angeloid with a huge sword emerges from the meteor and sets off in search of Tomoki!”

The synopsis does not mention about the arrival of the more powerful second generation angeloid named Chaos who serves as the one of the main antagonists of the anime for a while.

If you’ve watched the first season then you should already know what to expect from this second season, in two words, major fan-service. I have to admit that the fan-service can be excessive, but the way it’s presented is more in a comical way rather than sexual. The antics that Tomoki and company do is just hilarious, like for example the boys vs girls snow fortress school battle. Besides the fan-service, there is a story to the series which is mainly about the main characters and their encounters with things from what they call “The New World”, the Synapse. In this second season, the only real story progression that took  place is the addition of a couple of new angeloids, some exploration of the Synapse, and slight character development on the angeloids. At the end of the final episode of this season, it was announced that a Sora no Otoshimono movie will be made but there is not much details on when it will be released.
