Not exactly a review of the anime of School Rumble, just my own recap of what I thought of it. It was produced by Studio Comet from the manga series written by Jin Kobayashi.
School Rumble is a love comedy that not only focuses on main character Tenma Tsukamoto and her crush Oji Karasuma, but also on her friends and classmates in high school. For character list, check wikipedia. This anime series includes all sorts of mishaps from the power of love, which is brought to a comedic effect.
I really did enjoy this anime, the story was good and so was the animation. The love triangle used in this anime turned more like a big spider web, everyone was connected to one another in some way. Confessions and misunderstands made the show interesting and added to the story. Near the end of the series, it showed some unexpected sides of the anime that never was shown in the earlier episodes, but I won’t spoil. The ending itself gave me a feeling of appreciating the time you have had in high school, because through it all, you made new friends and had fun in school, all with juggling relationships. It was a bit sad but also has some foreshadowing of what will happen to the characters of School Rumble even after their school life was over. If I had to rate this anime, it would be at a 8 out of 10. One of my favorite genres is love-comedy shows. I definitely would recommend this anime to watch if you like funny, love, and school mixed together.
